Manuscripts of the Rosicrucian Teaching Plates

$150.00

This is a limited-edition, large format, full color, dual-language (German and English), blue cloth, hardcover recreation of a planned but never fully realized publication from the eighteenth century. In Hamburg, Germany, in 1766, the printer and bookseller Friedrich Christian Ritter announced his detailed outline for the publication of a collection of Rosicrucian "teaching plates," but that edition never appeared in the form and order he proposed. Instead, a different book published elsewhere did appear with some of the plates, and certain portions of the manuscript circulated in private for many years.

This new edition follows the original announced plan of Ritter and is intended as an aid for the meditative understanding of the plates themselves. It guides the reader to a deeper understanding by concentrating on the genuine plates without the “filler material” of the original printed edition. This new edition corrects the disorder of the original printed edition and all subsequent reprints, and also contains plates that were intended for the printed editions after 1785 but were never included.
